International Conference on Automotive Technologies
Generation of a close relationship between the automotive corporations and research facilities (universities, etc.),
and transfer of information from one group to the other are getting more and more important in today's world.
I.T.U. Mechanical Engineering Faculty & Automotive Manufacturers Association gave a contribution for the progress
of this relationship by organizing the ICAT Conferences in Istanbul in 2000 and 2004, during which 'Developments on
Internal Combustion Engines' and 'Future Automotive Technologies on Powertrain and Vehicle' were discussed & evaluated,
respectively.
The third of this series, International Conference on Automotive Technology – ICAT 2006 will be held in November 17, 2006 in Istanbul,
organized by Ford Otomotiv Sanayii (Ford Otosan) with the participation of European Union 6th Framework Program,
Istanbul Technical University, Automotive Manufacturers Association, AutomotiveTechnologies Research Center and Sabanci University.
The main theme of this conference is "A Roadmap for the Future in Automotive Technologies."
